Rollover notes that if he sees Tom Garcia at this month’s Conference of Major Superannuation Funds (CMSF) on the Gold Coast it will not be in his former capacity as chief executive of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST).

Instead, Garcia will be there as part of the rather large AustralianSuper contingent, with the AIST still head-hunting to find a full-time replacement for Garcia in the chief executive role.

However, proceedings will be in good hands with Eva Scheerlinck opening the conference as acting CEO.

Scheerlinck is no novice, having served the AIST as executive manager for governance and stewardship.

Rollover notes from the CMSF speaker list that Scheerlinck will not wont for advice, with former AIST chief executive, Fiona Reynolds, also attending the event in her latest principles of responsible investment role.
