Club Plus makes board appointments
More than a third of Club Plus Super's board are now female with the appointments of Janet Torney and Dominique Hogan-Doran.
Torney will assume the position of Chairman in December and both are now trustee directors.
ClubsNSW chief executive, Anthony Ball, said the appointments would bring "substantial expertise, skills and experience to the board, and valuable independence that will help the fund flourish in changing and challenging times".
Torney is has non-executive director and executive experience in financial services, including superannuation and investment.
She is currently the chairman of Whitehelm Capital, a member of the federal government's Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation, and the first independent and female director of the Fire Brigades Employees' Credit Union.
Torney is a former chief executive of Qantas Superannuation, and serves on advisory panels for the Association of Superannuation Funds Australia.
Hogan-Doran is a commercial barrister and was recently appointed senior counsel for New South Wales.
She has knowledge of legal and regulatory challenges confronting Australian financial services providers, managed funds, and investment schemes.
Hogan-Doran is commercial and financial services dispute resolution provider, is a director for a range of organisations, and was chair of the Australian Women Lawyers.
