LGS adds to investment committee
Local Government Super has appointed advisory firm Edgehaven managing director Bev Durston and API Capital's Robert Swift as additional members of the fund's investment committee.
In the roles Durston and Swift will help keep track of LGS' investment managers' performance and will work with the committee to monitor the work of the fund's internal investment team and external asset consultant.
Durston has held various roles in the super industry and has invested on behalf of many super and sovereign wealth funds. She has worked as a portfolio manager at Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, deputy chief investment officer at Sunsuper, and head of portfolio risk management at BT Funds Management.
At Edgehaven she advises institutional clients on long-term investment strategies, alternative assets and asset allocation across market cycles.
Swift has over 30 years' experience in global investment management, holding roles at Putnam Investments, BT Investment Management, and Regnan.
LGS chose Durston and Swift in November 2014 after an extensive search, and they started their roles in January.
