Energy Super chief executive Robyn Petrou has taken home the Fund Executive Association Limited's (FEAL) highest accolade of the year, the Fund Executive of the Year Award.
FEAL, in partnership with AMP Capital, created the award to recognise leadership, innovation and achievement by a fund executive within Australia's superannuation industry.
Petrou was commended for showing exceptional leadership through the launch and growth of Energy Super and initiating an internal review which aligned processes and systems with the fund's new members.
"Robyn has focused on the needs of its members and the opportunities for growth. She continues to provide certainty for Energy Super's members through her clear and decisive leadership and dedicated member services," AMP Capital head of institutional business, John Meagher said.
Petrou was singled out for the award by a panel of industry leaders and peers and will receive a $20,000 education grant as a prize.
The corporate fund has announced it is seeking a suitable merger partner as the number of corporate super funds in Australia continues to dwindle.
Australia’s second-largest super fund has added thermal coal companies to its list of investment exclusions.
The fund has expanded its corporate superannuation solutions to partner with Australian businesses of all sizes.
The chief executive of Aware Super anticipates a significant shift in how ESG factors will influence portfolio values in the next six years, surpassing the changes witnessed in the past two decades.
