Acting chief executive of NGS Super, Laura Wright, has been permanently appointed to the position.

Wright, who was appointed as the acting chief executive of the $9 billion fund following the departure of Anthony Rodwell-Ball earlier this year, was confirmed by the NGS Super Board today.

Confirming Wright’s permanent appointment, NGS Super Chairman, Dick Shearman paid tribute to her exceptional leadership of the Fund and her diligence during a year of change.

“The Board was delighted to appoint Laura as the Fund’s CEO. She graciously took the leadership baton as Acting CEO and successfully navigated the Fund through some industry challenges and milestones which has seen the Fund go from strength to strength,” he said.

Wright is NGS Super’s second female CEO and has a long-standing history serving the Fund for nearly two decades, initially as an inaugural Director, then Chair.

For the past 10 years she has worked for the Trustee Office firstly as General Manager, Operations before being appointed Senior Manager, Governance.
