Threadneedle picks Australian as new CEO
UK-based Threadneedle Investments has named Australian Campbell Fleming as its new chief executive officer.
Fleming will take over from the current chief executive Crispin Henderson, who will transition into the role of Vice Chairman of Global Asset Management for Ameriprise Financial, the parent company of Threadneedle.
Henderson has been worked for Threadneedle for over a decade, and has been in the chief executive role since 2007.
Ameriprise chief executive of global asset management Ted Truscott said Henderson was well suited to his new role, where he would be able to offer "broader input across our asset management business".
"[Henderson] will also advise Campbell on certain of Threadneedle's larger and longer-term client and vendor relationships that he has been involved in forming and developing," Truscott said.
Fleming said he looked forward to working with Henderson and Truscott as Threadneedle continued to build its business globally.
"Threadneedle is a world class investment manager with a diverse client base, a talented investment and leadership team and an outstanding performance record," Fleming said.
