Sunsuper has brought in the new year by hiring two new business development managers (BDMs), who both join from Colonial First State (CFS), bringing the fund’s retail advice team to 34 employees.
Charles Black and Gerard Bailey would join as NSW BDM, retail advice, and Queensland BDM, retail advice, respectively. This builds on the appointment of Lauren Matthews, formerly of ING Direct, into the same role for Victoria in August, last year.
“I’m extremely excited about the appointments of Charles, Gerard and Lauren and the wealth of experience they each bring to Sunsuper,” the fund’s executive general manager, growth, marketing and advice, Michael Mulholland, said.
“Advisers know that Sunsuper is a serious player in the retail advice space and that we’re genuinely committed to supporting them over the long-term. These new appointments are testament to that.”
The fund was currently on over 20 licensee approved product lists and believed that close to 2,000 advisers were “frequently” recommending the fund.
