NGS Super has appointed Georgina Smith to its board as an employer director.

She represents the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools, which represents 103 schools across the state.

Smith has 40 years' experience in education, 35 of which she spent in leadership roles. She worked as an assistant director, principal consultant, school principal and teacher in Catholic Education South Australia, according to NGS Super CEO Anthony Rodwell-Ball.

"Her close working relationship with key stakeholders groups in the South Australian education industry will add a depth of expertise to the board and benefit all members," he said.

Smith's appointment means 50 per cent of the board is now represented by women, Rodwell-Ball said.
