Industry super fund Motor Trades Association of Australia (MTAA) Super has achieved 44 per cent female representation on its board with its most recent appointment.

MTAA Super appointed Rhonda O'Donnell as its fourth female representative director, chairman John Brumby revealed.

"We restructured the strategic asset allocation, management of the organisation and introduced a new board governance model, composed of equal representations from employers, employees, and independents," Brumby said.

"The new board structure received much attention within the industry as a best practice example of board diversity and independence."

O'Donnell has experience as an executive and board member in both the private and public sectors with experience in international and local industries including telecommunications, information technology, education, government, and utilities.
