Link Group’s chief financial officer, John Hawkins, has announced his retirement from executive duties in November 2019, and the firm has appointed Andrew MacLachlan as his successor, effective 1 January 2019.

MacLachlan joined Link Group in 2009 and served as deputy CFO since 2013, and has over 25 years’ experience in finance and accounting.

Prior to his role at Link Group, MacLachlan was CFO at Fero Group and former ASX listed Evans and Tate Limited. He was also general manager, commercial operations at Singtel Optus, and assistant manager at KPMG.

Hawkins would continue with Link Group at group executive, investments and acquisitions, and would remain a senior member of the Link Group Executive Committee.

Managing director, John McMurtrie, acknowledged Hawkins for his contribution to the organisation, namely for his instrumental role in the company’s ASX listing in 2015.
