AUI appoints head of institutional

Former Morgan Stanley executive Paul Banks has signed on as head of institutional business at Australian Unity Investments (AUI).

Reporting to general manager, funds management, Fiona Dunn, Banks will be responsible for building out AUI's business through fostering new and current relationships in the institutional market.

Banks 22 years' experience includes head of pension client services, head of transition and head of structured solutions at Morgan Stanley, and roles with Goldman Sachs, JBWere and Macquarie Bank.

"Continuing to generate funds inflows for our boutique funds management partners and our property funds is a fundamental component of Australian Unity's strategy and we believe Paul is the right person to help us achieve our growth plans," Dunn said.
