Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) has appointed two executives to its management team.
Soula Konstantopoulos had been appointed as general manager for finance and corporate services while Trish Curry was appointed as general manager for memberships and partnerships.
Curry had 25 years experience in superannuation including almost two decades at AustralianSuper, including five years setting up the fund’s UK entity in London.
Meanwhile, Konstantopoulos’s background was in public, private and not-for-profit sectors and this was her first role in superannuation. She joined from the Southern Migrant & Refugee Centre where she was general manager of corporate services.
Both would report to chief executive, Eva Scheerlinck.
She said: “I’m delighted to welcome Soula and Trish to my team and look forward to garnering the benefits of their skills and experience as we continue our important work for the profit-to member superannuation sector and support our members by advocating for better retirement outcomes for all Australians.
“We work in a dynamic industry which is constantly evolving and I am proud to announce these two new appointments to strengthen our leadership team and therefore our capabilities in supporting the sector.”
The fund has announced three executive-level appointments, including a new chief investment officer.
The super fund has tapped a former Vanguard and Plato Investment Management executive to lead its fixed interest team.
The firm has grown its wealth management team with an experienced distribution specialist.
The $36 billion fund has announced the appointment of an experienced public sector executive leader.
