Active Super launches new customer portal and app

Following the superannuation fund’s decision to rebrand earlier this year, Active Super has launched a new member online portal and native app.

The firm said new portal and app would provide superior functionality and a streamlined design to make it easier for members to manage their super online.

It had also increased the security measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, including multi-factor authentication to access the portal and app, while the mobile app also included face ID access.

Active Super had partnered with administrator Link Group to deliver the new system for members and was the first of Link’s clients to launch it.

Chantal Walker, Active Super chief digital and marketing officer, said the decision to rebrand as Active Super in May was part of a broader ambition to transform Local Government Super into a modern, mobile-first digital enterprise.

“This move underscores that commitment to deliver an improved member experience by overhauling the multichannel engagement platform and by upgrading our app with increased security and personalised functionality,” Walker said.

Some of the enhanced online features would allow members to:

  • Check balances and transaction history;
  • Make additional contributions;
  • Find lost super and combine other super accounts;
  • Switch investment options;
  • Review insurance;
  • Generate Centrelink/Department of Veteran Affairs schedule;
  • Request pension payment;
  • View latest pension payment, member statements and beneficiaries; and
  • Multi-factor authentication.
