MLC Life Insurance is expanding its Best Doctors service from 1 October to include an extra 200,000 customers in a bid to meet its agenda of extending the use of a policy over its lifetime.
The MLC partnership with Best Doctors, which connects insurance customers with medical experts would now include policy holders with an MLC Insurance, MLC Insurance (Super), MLC ProtectionFirst, MLC Personal Protection Portfolio, or MLC Life Cover Super product.
MLC chief customer officer of group insurance, Suzanne Smith told Super Review that Best Doctors could be used to build better awareness around life insurance and work as an engagement tool with super funds.
“[It] strengthens super funds insurance offering [and] helps members protect their number one asset – their health and their family’s health, as the service is available to their families – including their children, parents, partner, and partner’s parents,” she said.
“The service is a tangle benefit to a member’s life insurance. We want to better support more customers through illness, injury and recovery, rather than simply at a time of claim.”
MLC Life Insurance has been partnered with Best Doctors since 2009.
