Virginia Devereux Wong has joined Standard Life Investments as head of institutional wholesale in Asia.
She will join Xiaosong Zhang and FeiFei Zhu, who in July were appointed as investment director and Asia business development director respectively.
Based in Hong Kong, Wong will report to head of Asia, David Peng, and will lead the development of the investment manager’s private banking and wholesale distribution businesses in Asia.
“Virginia, Xiaosong and FeiFei’s appointments are further evidence of Standard Life Investments’ long-term commitments to the region as we continue to grow our presence in Asia,” Peng said.
“They bring over four decades of experience of working in the Asian financial services sector and add to the existing expertise and knowledge of Standard Life Investments’ rapidly growing team in Hong Kong.”
Peng added that the company was seeing positive momentum in the region as it continued to win mandates.
