European investor confidence jumped 20.7 points to 141.9 in November 2014, according to the State Street Investor Confidence Index (ICI).
European investors resisted the downward trend which saw the Global ICI decrease by 1.8 points to 114.0, down from October's revised reading of 115.8.
The North America ICI fell 4.4 points, finishing at 104.3, down from October's recording of 108.7, while the Asian ICI declined 2.7 points to finish at 96.9.
Commenting on the results State Street ICI developer Paul O'Connell said: "The most striking element of this month's results is the increase in the European ICI."This mirrors the increase we observed in September. An examination of the underlying data indicates that investors Europe are being selective. While there are strong inflows into UK equities, there is less enthusiasm to allocate to equities in other regions. Accordingly, some portion of the recent increase may well turn out to be transitory."
